Brit - I just bought my first ukulele on a whim. I'm not really a musician, but a chronic illness has put me into a creative spin.
I began drawing and oil painting, and now I'm trying to learn this instrument. You are so inspiring. If you could give one simple instruction what would it be?
Thank you for your beautiful gift of music. C -

I really enjoy your music. Have you ever thought about recording " A song for you, or Masquerade" by Leon Russell, both are beautiful. One suggestion, I would remove the tuner from the head of your Ukele, maybe velcro it to the back of the Ukelele. It looks strange. I thought it was a horn like a kids bike has at first. Keep of the great work, don't burn out. Take time for yourself. God Bless.

Brittni, We first saw you at an ukulele festival in an old theatre up mauka in Kona, about 4-5 years ago. We recognized your talent then, but NOW...WOW! We just got through seeing your show in Kent, WA, and were majorly impressed! Of course we like traditional Hawaiian music, but we were also impressed with the arrangements that you are doing, like the one of Take 5! Awesome! Is this the result of your studies at Berklee? Anyway, congratulations on your upcoming marriage, and keep up the awesome music! Aloha Pumehana, Tim & Barb

I really enjoyed seeing you in concert in Kent, WA on Saturday, March 15th. You are just beginning, and already so excellent! I play guitar, so now maybe I'll be motiviated to get it out and practice! Are you still taking lessons? Good luck and have fun with your upcoming wedding. I hope you are going to post pictures on this web site!

I just saw you tonight (3/15 in Kent,Wa.) along with Cindy Combs and Owana Salazar. This was my first but not last slack key guitar/ukelele concert and totally enjoyed myself! Your sound is very innovative and upbeat that gives the ukelele a broader kind of music unexpected from that instrument. You are a great inspiration to all young people that play music or any in other career for that matter! Thanks again for visiting us in the Mainland a.k.a. Northwest!

I was at this evening's concert in Kirkland on March 14th...I enjoyed the evening so much. We had to cancel our plans to come back to the Big Island..coming to stay in Hilo for the first time. The downside is the cancellation..the upside was watching a very talented Brittini for the first time.. You are an amazing talented musician. Mahalo to you and the rest of the wonderful talents on the stage tonight..you made a cold night warm with your Aloha. I am listening to your amazing CD as I write this... I will watch your star rise with much pleasure..Your fan Judi Selset

Hi Brittni: Don't know if you remember me but I saw you a couple a years ago at the slack key festival when I was playing with Ikaika Marzo and Sonny Limm and the gang. (your uncle Mike's friend with the homemade Mango Uke) Anyway I came across you on youtube where you were playing on the "Good Morning Hawaii" show. Your performance of that piece was awesome to say the least. Could you email me and tell me the name of that piece? It sounds like a Portuguese song. Incredibly beautiful. I am so impressed with your talent and hope you continue to dazzled the world with your music. I got out my guitar and tried to follow you with it I just love that style of music. Hope to see you again at one of the Music festivals. Take care, Aloha

Hi Brittni, I first heard your cd Hear at BestSellers Bookstore in town during my lunch break. I heard the music playing in the background and I said to myself, this is beautiful music. So I asked the lady at the cashier who was playing and she said it was Brittni Paiva, and I said I never heard of her, but needless to say, I fell in love with your music. I bought the cd and took it work and played it on my computer, and when I heard the song, "E Lohea Mai" it brought tears to my eyes. It was so refreshing to hear a song with God's name Jehovah in it. I have since bought another cd, Brittni, and when I heard the song with you and Aunty Melveen, it brought tears to my eyes again. I get chicken skin every time I hear that song. So..I want to thank you for your wonderful music, you have a God-given talent and HE will continue to bless you in all your endeavors. Aloha and Mahalo nui Loa, Janice Akau Nanakuli, Oahu
